O Triune God,
You are the Mover of my soul.
Without you – my soul, my heart, my affections –
All these would still be unmoved, unyielding, and following their natural courses to drown in a barren sea
But God, being rich in merciful love –
You woke me up. You moved the soul in me.

You have brought me to the Valley of Vision,
Where I live in the depths that I might see You in the heights;
Where I am hemmed in by mountains of sin, I behold Your glory.

O Beautiful and Divine Family of Three Persons,
Three persons, yet One God.
You are God the Father,
Who has ordained creation and salvation,
from the foundation of the earth.
You are God the Son,
Who accomplished the work of salvation,through your perfect obedience,
and your bloody death on the Cross.

God. You are the fountain of everything that is good.
And yet there is in me the desire
to imagine myself to be this fountain, instead of you
In my sin, I imagine myself to be a god –
self-dependent, self-powered, and self-glorified
This estimation of myself needs to die
