What kids learn when they are disciplined will last a lifetime. But well-intentioned parents miss their kids’ hearts during discipline. It happens all the time. Instead of building the wisdom and respect they hope for, parents inadvertently build discouragement and resentment, which drives their kids to misbehave more. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Join us for a small group “Connected Families” parenting series at Christ Church. This series will help you learn a loving approach toward discipline that creates an atmosphere of safety, connection, coaching, and correction that breeds personal responsibility in your entire family.

Course Description
When discipline aims at quick fixes to the behavior, it tends to be:
- Short-sighted
- Random
- Punitive
- Unpredictable
Kids feel confused, and even emotionally unsafe, because they never know what to expect. And when their brains feel unsafe, they rarely learn what you want them to learn. But when parents learn to discipline with a grace-filled, long view in mind, their kids develop identity according to God’s grace and truth.
